We’re Rebecca and Danielle — the founders of Jones & Hardy School Portraits, professional children’s photographers, and mums to both primary and high school aged kids.
And honestly? We started this because we knew school photography could be better.
Like so many parents, we’ve opened those school photo envelopes to see stiff poses, forced smiles and the same outdated blue backdrop, year after year. Beautiful children — but photographs that didn’t truly feel like them.
We believe school portraits should reflect who a child really is in that moment of their life — their spark, their personality, their quiet confidence or cheeky grin.
With over 25 years of combined experience photographing children, we understand how to create a relaxed, natural environment where students feel comfortable and seen. When children feel at ease, genuine expressions follow — and that’s where the magic happens.
